Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 7, 2026
This statement applies only to the Clevernotes marketing site. It does not yet cover the macOS app, iOS app, or browser extensions.
Clevernotes is working to make the marketing site easier to use for more people. This statement describes the accessibility of the public website as it exists today, including known gaps we are still addressing.
1. Scope
This statement covers the public marketing pages at clevernotes.ai, including pages such as the home page, features, compare, FAQ, changelog, privacy, terms, and accessibility pages.
It does not yet cover the macOS app, iOS app, or browser extensions. Those products will need their own accessibility review and documentation.
2. Conformance Status
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the working accessibility standard for the marketing site.
The marketing site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In other words, many parts of the site already support accessible use, but some issues remain.
3. What Currently Works Well
The current marketing site includes the following accessibility support:
- Semantic structure: Pages use headings, landmarks, lists, and table markup where appropriate.
- Keyboard support: Main interactive elements can be reached by keyboard and show visible focus states.
- Skip link: A "Skip to content" link is available at the start of each page.
- Reduced motion support: Motion-heavy effects are reduced when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Image handling: Decorative images are marked decorative, and meaningful images can carry text alternatives.
- Responsive layout: The marketing pages are built to work across common screen sizes and support text resizing.
- Forms and controls: The public beta request form uses labels and accessible names.
- Tables where used: The comparison table includes a caption and header associations.
4. Known Limitations
We know the marketing site still has work to do. Current limitations include:
- Some smaller tertiary text still needs stronger contrast in a few places.
- The comparison page is easier to use on mobile through a simplified summary than through the full desktop table.
- Some third-party assets, such as hosted fonts, are outside our direct control.
- The marketing site is currently available in English only.
We are continuing to improve these issues as the site evolves.
5. Feedback
If you run into an accessibility barrier on the marketing site, please email us at hello@clevernotes.ai.
When possible, include the page you were using, what assistive technology or browser you were using, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 14 days.
6. Assessment Method
Clevernotes reviews the marketing site through self-evaluation, manual keyboard testing, and automated checks against WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria.
